Partial overnight closures on Pattullo Bridge next week
Maintenance work requires three nights of southbound closures
NEW WESTMINSTER, BC – The Pattullo Bridge will be partially closed to traffic three nights in a row next week so crews can perform scheduled maintenance work.
The bridge will be closed to vehicles travelling southbound into Surrey for three consecutive nights from August 5 to 7 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
During these nights, equipment will be blocking some lanes of traffic, requiring directional closures to vehicles. The bridge will remain open at all times for pedestrians, cyclists, and first responders.
Pattullo Bridge users affected by these closures are encouraged to take the Port Mann or Alex Fraser bridges as alternatives. Some N19 NightBus trips will be rerouted over the Alex Fraser and Queensborough bridges between New Westminster and Scott Road stations.
There will be signage to indicate all traffic pattern changes and traffic control personnel will be on-site. Drivers and transit users should plan for up to 30 minutes of additional travel time. Customers are encouraged to check Transit Alerts and use Trip Planner for more information.
